Dr Ram is an amazing man. He always listens to me and tells me clearly what I need to know. He diagnosed my condition quickly and fully explained how to manage it. He makes me feel like everything will be ok even when I have been hospitalised over my condition and have felt the worst I have ever felt, knowing my care is in this mans hands makes me feel like it will all be ok and it has been. He always has the personal touch and genuinely cares about his patients and the care they receive. Super star.

Dr Ram is an absolutely brilliant, caring doctor. He really cares about his patients, and he listens thoroughly to all your concerns before determining the best way forward to help relieve symptoms. I first saw Dr Ram five years ago for issues with acid reflux, a hiatus hernia, and concerns I may have had stomach cancer. Dr Ram was brilliant and arranged an endoscopy within a week of seeing him, after which my anxiety settled greatly as he took time and care to perform the endoscopy himself so he could make an accurate diagnosis, rather than just guessing. Fast forward five years and I had been experiencing a change in bowel habit and subsequent chronic anxiety and did not feel my GP was listening, so I had no hesitation in contacting Dr Ram. He is such a caring doctor that he fitted me into his clinic a week earlier than expected, extending his clinic times for me because of my anxiety, and a week later performed a colonoscopy, again fitting me in when the list was already full. This calmed my anxiety greatly and when Dr Ram performed the procedure, he took biopsies when he didn't have to to reassure me nothing sinister was happening, and even immediately afterwards while I was still sedated (!) took the time to seek out my wife and tell her my colonoscopy was fine, knowing that would be of such reassurance to me and that my wife rules the roost and she is in charge! It is those caring, personal touches, that make Dr Ram such a brilliant doctor. Of course he is a fantastic Gastroenterologist and knows his subject better than anyone, being the 2019 Gastroenterologist of the Year you know you're dealing with the best, but it is also his personal attention to his patients and his absolute care and kindness that makes him, in my opinion, the best Gastroenterologist you could possibly see. Thank you Dr Ram for all you've done for me and my family.

He’s a thorough doctor who shows that he cares about my care as a patient. He is always familiar with my case even though I only see him once a year.

I have known Dr. Ram for quite a few years now and have found him to be an excellent consultant - always friendly, professional & understanding. He diagnosed my coeliac disease a couple of years ago and I have found that he is very knowledgeable, kind, considerate, proactive and efficient at organising the various tests required. From a patient point of view, he is very skilled when carrying out endoscopy procedures (both at Warrington Hospital and Spire Cheshire) and has a welcome calming influence on his patients during what can be a very worrying time. He has ensured that I continue to be monitored for my condition and it is nice to know that I will be reviewed annually by him. It is really helpful that he doesn't rush the appointments, which enables the patient to ask many questions which Dr. Ram is keen to answer fully and clearly. Most importantly, you feel that you can trust him. Other members of my family and friends have also been treated by Dr. Ram and they have the same view. In addition to the above, if you meet him outside of clinic, he recognises you straight away and is interested to know about how you are and asks about other members of the family/friends. I would say that he is quite unique. I would obviously recommend Dr. Ram without hesitation.
